What the Hammer Decides
In DTH drilling the hammer sits at the bottom of the hole and hits the bit directly, so its impact energy and its air efficiency decide the penetration rate of the whole rig. A hammer that wastes air on internal losses drills slower whatever the compressor behind it.
Fast Action, High Impact Energy
The CD series is built for fast action and high impact energy with low energy loss. Working pressure, impact frequency, rotation speed and air consumption are listed for each model on this page, so the hammer can be matched to the compressor and the rig you already run rather than the other way around.
Deep-Hole Performance
Cuttings removal is where hammers fail in deep holes: if returns are poor the bit re-drills its own cuttings and the hole slows to a stop. The CD series is designed for good cuttings removal with no easy clogging in deep-hole driving.
Maintenance
Simple maintenance and high cost-performance. The hammer is a consumable in mining and water well work, and what matters over a season is cost per metre drilled, not the price of the hammer.
Models and Sizes
CD45A, CD55A, CD65A and CD85A cover roughly 3 in to 5 in boreholes with matching bit ranges. Full technical parameters — overall length, weight, outside diameter, bit range, thread, working pressure, frequency, rotation speed and air consumption — are in the table on this page.
Where It Works
Mining and quarry blasthole drilling, water well drilling, and construction and geothermal work where a DTH hammer is run.
Where It Ships
Supplied to drilling contractors in Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which hammer models are available?
CD45A, CD55A, CD65A and CD85A. Full technical parameters for each are in the table on this page.
How do I choose between them?
By hole diameter, compressor output and the rig you run. Bit range, working pressure and air consumption are listed per model.
What thread do the hammers use?
API 2-3/8 REG on the standard models — see the parameter table on this page for each model.
Is maintenance straightforward?
Yes. The design keeps maintenance simple, which is intended to hold down cost per metre drilled over a season.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Standard minimum order is 10 pieces, with a lead time of 10 days. Special specifications are made to order.
