Our Story
One Era Ends, Another Begins
Many people ask: KISN, why must you be so slow?
I am the person responsible for this factory. The story begins in 1964.
That year, one of China's largest manufacturers of mining and infrastructure drilling equipment was founded in my hometown. It was named the "Pneumatic Machinery Plant."
My father was the workshop director. The plant employed over 3,000 workers.

2008. The plant was officially shut down. It was an unusually cold winter. Three thousand families lost their direction overnight.
Out of desperation and defiance, a group of old co-workers pooled their savings and asked my father to lead them in starting a new drill pipe factory. The Pneumatic Machinery Plant was gone. The predecessor of KISN grew out of its ruins.

These old workers brought out the most precious thing — not blueprints, not machinery, but an unbroken mentor-apprentice chain spanning 30 years. Master to apprentice, generation after generation, they held only one standard in their hearts:
"There must be zero surprises."
Underground, in boreholes thousands of meters deep, any accident can be a family's tragedy. Preventing accidents — that was their greatest responsibility.

Later, my father handed the factory over to me.
We had a new name: KISN. We brought in advanced machinery. By all logic, advanced machines should have brought a leap in production speed. But they didn't. Our speed remains slow.

Those advanced machines never became tools of acceleration. They did only one thing — made product quality better and better, made every joint more stable, made every pipe safer.
Many people ask me: with all this upgraded equipment, why are you still so slow?

My answer is simple: machines can be upgraded, but human responsibility cannot be upgraded.
