Product Details
KISN water well drill pipe is made for production and exploration water wells, in tube sizes from 76 mm to 140 mm with API 2-3/8 REG and NC series threads. The body is drawn from large-steel-mill material selected to resist fatigue, because a water well string is judged over years of repeated make-up and break-out, not over one hole.
Flush Profile, Cleaner Hole
The pipe runs a flush profile, so there is no shoulder for cuttings to pack against. Cuttings and returns move past the string instead of building up on it, which keeps the hole cleaner and reduces the torque needed to turn the string.
Internal Upset Forging
Pipe ends are heated by medium-frequency induction and thickened under high-tonnage hydraulic upsetting before the joint is made. This puts extra wall exactly where the load concentrates, and it is the reason the connection, not the tube, is no longer the weak point of the string.
Heat Treatment and Stress Relief
The tube is quenched and tempered to the grade your well calls for, and the weld is stress-relieved after friction welding so the joint and the tube behave as one. Stress relief is what keeps joint performance consistent from the first pipe to the last.
Threads and Interchangeability
Threads are cut to API 2-3/8 REG and NC26 / NC31 / NC35 / NC38 / NC40, so the string makes up with the standard tooling already on your rig and with equipment you already hold. Single and double wrench flats are available to suit how your crews handle the pipe.
